The patient or the patientโs caregiver must apply online for an ID card/access account on the PA medical marijuana website at https://padohmmp.custhelp.com/app/adult-patient-registration
After a medical consultation with an approved physician, the physician will (through a web portal) attest that the patient is a candidate to participate in the PA medical marijuana program. Once these two steps are completed, the state will issue the patient a card. With this card the patient can obtain the marijuana at any licensed dispensary in the state. The pharmacists at the dispensary will evaluate the patient for dosing and route of administration. The patient must have regular consultations with the physician to ascertain efficacy and side effects.
Every day more and more scientific evidence on the effectiveness of marijuana in treating the approved disorders comes to light. It is one more therapeutic alternative for afflicted patients.
